THURSDAY 1st OCTOBER 2026Welcome to First Rising – the official newsletter for members of United Grand Lodge of England.CRAFTCAST IN SCOTLANDFor the Series 6 finale, Craftcast heads north for a very special conversation at Freemasons’ Hall in Edinburgh. For the first time, we’re joined by both the Grand Master Mason and Grand Secretary of the Grand Lodge of Scotland! What follows is a fascinating conversation about the relationship between English and Scottish Freemasonry, and an insightful look at the future of our organisations. We also explore Scotland’s decision to join the Council for Freemasonry in Great Britain, bringing together UGLE, the Order of Women Freemasons, the Honourable Fraternity of Ancient Freemasons and the Grand Lodge of Scotland. With all four Grand Lodges of Great Britain now represented, what could this mean for greater collaboration across the Council – and what might the future hold? Tune in to the Series 6 finale of Craftcast and find out!WATCH THE VIDEOCatch up on Series 6 of Craftcast: The Freemasons Podcast, the official podcast of the United Grand Lodge of England Craftcast – On Video Craftcast – Audio OnlyPORTAL IS LIVE – MANAGE YOUR MASONIC JOURNEYPortal is our new membership app designed to make Freemasonry more accessible — anytime, anywhere.
